Helping Hands is a ministry of Clay Church that provides basic home improvements - wheelchair ramps, shower and bath handle installation, minor carpentry repairs, etc. - for individuals and/or families who need help but are not able to afford or coordinate contractors. A partnership with REAL services identifies needs of the elderly in our community who need renovations to stay in their home, but the team also supports neighbor to neighbor recommendations for support and assistance.

While specific light construction skills are helpful, all are welcome to join the team and volunteer. Volunteers will be assigned to teams based on project needs. Teams will be put together throughout the year for specific projects. You may not be contacted right away, but we hope to include everyone who signs up on a project. You may be asked to provide more specific skills information. You must be 18 to sign up and volunteer due to insurance coverage.
